Acceptance

John 13:20 “Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts Me; and whoever accepts Me accepts the One who sent Me.”

” Do not stay where you are tolerated. Go, where you are celebrated.” PAA

Have such an oil of anointing in your life that words of hate and discord just fall right off of you when they try to hit you.”

We all need to feel part of a society that accepts us totally. We all want to belong to a world where every single person’s life matters and every single choice is respected.

I think of the three years of Jesus ministry. Jesus commission His faithful disciples for the work that is yet to come. Unknown to them, they are about to experience and endure the three most intense and grueling days of Jesus’ three year ministry. Their cozy world is about to be turned upside down and inside out. Their lives will never be the same, and their mission will be enormous: they will be charged with sharing to the entire world Jesus’ message of resurrection and salvation. And I am sure there were places that they were not accepted.

The importance of acceptance, then, is not the acceptance by Father God of who we are on our terms, but our personal acceptance of His son Jesus on God’s terms.

This is the only acceptance we need to be concerned about. When we have this acceptance the oil of anointing will be so strong in your life that words of hate and discord will just flee from you.

(And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. (“Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.”)
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:11-15‬
