Mark 4:28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head,
after that the full grain in the head.

I love the short statement below from J. Martineau.

“High hearts are never long without hearing some new call, some distant
clarion of God, even in their dreams; and soon they are observed to break
up the camp of ease, and start on some fresh march of faithful service. And, looking higher still, we find those who never wait till their moral work accumulates, and who reward resolution with no rest; with whom,
therefore, the alternation is instantaneous and constant, who do the good only to see the better and see the better only to achieve it; who are too
meek for transport, too faithful for remorse, too earnest for repose;
whose worship is action, and whose action is ceaseless aspiration.“

As I read the statement above, I begin to ponder my life.

As a child I was taught the word of God in my home and at church.

My parents were great examples of God’s open book policy. “Live what you
preach.”

I started serving the Lord at a very young age, and work in the church in
all area’s. It did not matter that I was a female, I was excepted and told to reach for the brass ring. To step into the call God had on my life.

I also work in Evangelism for many years through the Lay Mission Program
and the Southern Baptist Evangelism, preaching and teaching in Georgia,
Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, and now North Carolina.

I have help plant and grow churches for different denominations. And help
in restoring churches, and set up all the Christian Educations Programs in
several churches. I have established Summer Camps, Day Cares and School for churches, and enjoy every minute of these ministries.

Now please realize that I am not bragging about these great experiences, but I am fixing to make a point about life, my life.

Remember I give Father God all the honor and praise for allowing me to work for Him. I can do nothing except through Him and by Him.

Yes, I have held many positions and also had many titles. But they did not
mean a thing.

What was the most important is I loved God with all my heart, and I love serving Him freely, giving my complete self to Him.

But even myself now feel that I sometimes take three steps forward, and then two steps back. I even sometimes feel that maybe I am not where I need to be in my service for God, because it seems I do not have the backing of those whom are suppose to be my mentors at times. I feel I am off in right field and the ball is being hit to center field. Those are the times you can feel disrespected and challenged.

In other words, “Life can be messy. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I tell myself that being a follower of Christ or strong in faith will mean that my life is less crazy. But that’s not real. The ultimate truth is that life will throw us every which way. We’ll have moments of togetherness. And moments where we totally lose our way. We’ll have days when everything feels wonderful, and then hours later it all falls apart. We’ll turn to the sky, searching for truth, and sometimes come up empty.”

I can say, I know Father God has allowed me the honor to mentor other young Ministers. And I know I never left them off in right field. I always have given 100% of myself to the service of Father God, by having a Servants Heart.

I know I am not the only one that ever feels that way. We all have our ups and downs.

But now I am praying and believing, and as Martneau said, “High hearts are
never long without hearing some new call, some distance clarion of God,
even in their dreams. and soon they are observed to break up the camp of
ease, and start on some fresh march of faithful service.”

I feel that is where I am now. I feel Father God is about to let the internet
ministry of Coffee With Pat expand to great highs, but He is also stepping
in and moving me to a greater high of the Ministry He has for me.

I have waited on man too long to help me, and I have become disappointed, but now that I have my eyes totally on Father God, I hear Him saying go forth my daughter, and do the work I have call for you to do.

But as Paul said, ““Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:11-13‬ ‭

If you are like me, facing a new direction, remember, all we have to
do, is have enough faith to step out of the boat and walk with Jesus. We may have stayed in the boat to long. When you stay in the boat too long you just get to know the disciples, the people in the boat, but they are not your promotion. We need to step out of the boat and grow closer to Jesus, so we can clearly depend on Him and not man, so we will truly know the Ministry Work that Jesus has for us to do.

Now are you ready to step out of the boat with me, and as Jesus said to
His Parent’s, “I am about my Father’s business.

Sending to You and Your Family,

Blessings, Love and Prayers,

Pastor Pat
