Holy Spirit Breathe In Us.

Holy Spirit Breathe On Us
Author: Pat Aman

Restoration Church had a blessed day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit today. Father God showed up and touched His children in so many ways today.

I love the verses below from John chapter 14. What a blessed promise Jesus gave to us so that the world would come to the saving Grace and Mercy of Father God.

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”John‬ ‭14:3, 6-18‬ ‭

God’s Holy Spirit in us, as Christians, is our greatest gift from God. When we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit we receive the gift and the giver, because the gift is the giver. The Holy Spirit is our bond with God, our source of communication from God, and the guarantee that we are His children.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs; heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. (Rom 8:14-17)

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Love. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. (Romans 5:5)

When we walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit we experience inner love, joy and peace.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-25)

God is pouring out His Holy Spirit. “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. (Acts 2:16-18)

The Holy Spirit is promised to those who receive Jesus Christ as savior.

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. “For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:38-39)

The Holy Spirit is promised to those who ask. “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13)

The only limitation to God’s Holy Spirit in you, is you. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. (John 3:34)

The Holy Spirit produces rivers of liquid life inside you.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (John 7:37-39)

The Holy Spirit is given to you so that you can be a blessing to others. (1 Corinthians 12:7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: …..
(1 Corinthians 12:11) But one and the same Spirit will Holy Spirit, breathe on me.

One of my favorite songs is the old hymn, Breathe in me.”
Words: Baylus Benjamin McKinney (b. July 22, 1886; d. Sept. 7, 1952)Music: Baylus Benjamin McKinney

Breathe on me
Until my heart is clean;
Let sunshine fill its inmost part,
With not a cloud between.

Breathe on me, breathe on me,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me;
Take Thou my heart, cleanse every part,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me.

Holy Spirit, breathe on me, My stubborn will subdue; Teach me in words of living flame What Christ would have me do.

Breathe on me, breathe on me,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me;
Take Thou my heart, cleanse every part,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me.

Holy Spirit, breathe on me, Fill me with pow’r divine; Kindle a flame of love and zeal Within this heart of mine.

Breathe on me, breathe on me,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me;
Take Thou my heart, cleanse every part,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me.

Holy Spirit, breathe on me, Till I am all Thine own, Until my will is lost in Thine, To live for Thee alone.

Breathe on me, breathe on me,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me;
Take Thou my heart, cleanse every part,
Holy Spirit, breathe on me.

Please today, Asked Father God’s Holy Spirit breathe on you. Refresh the living Spirit living inside of you.

God Bless you.

Hard To Love

Hard To Love
Author: Pat Aman

Luke 6:32 (NCV) If you love only the people who love you, what praise
should you get? Even sinners love the people who love them.

Love, ah… it’s easy for us to love each other. We are brothers and
sisters in Christ. It’s easy to love members of your family, of your
church, and it’s easy to love friends. But how about the hard-to-love?

What about the person that has wronged you?

The person who has talked bad
about you, spread gossip, rumors?

The person that did you wrong in a
business deal, at school or at a social function?

How about that person you truly feel you can not love anymore, because of
the hatred they have shown to you? We all have them, don’t we?

Or am I the only one?

Jesus is saying, “Hey Christians, even the pagans love those who love
them. How are you going to show MY Love?”

Notice how the love of Christ
turns the “world’s” value system upside-down. The world says, “hate your enemies;” Jesus says love your enemies. But how do we do it?

I remember one time someone ask my daddy, “hey do you like me?” His
answer was, “as a human man I do not like your ways, but as a child of
God, and my brother in Christ, I love you.” WOW!

Now as the sentence above states, Jesus says love your enemies. But how do we do it?

Ready for the answer?

Hang on to your hats!

Pray. Yes, prayer.

Simple answer yes, but a powerful solution. Pray for that person who has wronged you.

Now don’t go and pray like I used to pray, “Lord get back at that person. Lord, make them pay for what they did to me, or Lord, give me a chance to blow him out!”

You really don’t think God wants us to pray to change God, do you?

Prayer doesn’t change God; it changes us. In my opinion, God uses prayer for two reasons. One — to allow us to participate in His plan and two — to
change us. Pray fervently and earnestly for someone that is hard for you
to love, and God will change your heart toward that person. God will show
you what He Himself sees in that person.

How will the world know us Christ-Followers?

They will know us by our love that flows from our love of Jesus Christ.

John 13:34-35 (NCV) I give you a new command: Love each other. You must
love each other as I have loved you. All people will know that you are my
followers if you love each other.

Tough stuff, but we need to do it, folks and we can do it armed with His love.

Think I will add a prayer to this devotional to help you and me start to realize until we forgive others we continually break Father God’s Words to us.

Matthew 5: 23
“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Ephesians 4:32
Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Colossians 3:13
Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.

Father God we praise you and thank you for all you do for us. Father God , help us to love the hard to love; help us to see them through the perfect eyes
of Jesus. Lord, forgive us for not loving others as You command us to do.
Forgive us for falling short of Your mark. Restore us Father God, fill us up
with Your Spirit and Your love, so that through us Your love will flow to
others. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
