A Merry Heart of Laughter

A MERRY HEART OF LAUGHTER

Written By: Patricia Hunter Aman

As a Merry Heart of Laughter,

Can brighten a cloudy day.

It will fill your soul with springtime,

As radiate as a colorful bouquet.

It lifts our spirits to the sky,

And can mend the wounded heart.

It is just another gift from God,

A special grace that He imparts.

Laughter is good medicine,

That takes away our fears.

And can quickly replace,

A Childs sad face,

And dry up all their tears.

So give a little gift today,

Wrapped up with bows of laughter,

And one day it will be returned to you,

In ways you can’t image.

“The Prayer of Jabez”

Hello and Blessings, Friends and Family,
I pray that you had a Blessed Monday. I had a wonderful day. I met and had lunch with Rev. Rose Boyd. Rose is the founder and CEO of Operation Teaching Tools. This ministry collect teaching supply for Missionaries all over the world and send the materials to them free of charge.

It does cost Operation Teaching to tools to ship the supplies to the Missionaries, thousand of dollars at a time to ship one load. If the Lord lays on your heart to plant a financial seed in a ministry, this is the one to do it in. I guarantee that the monies will be used directly for the purpose it is sent too.

You may contact Rose at: rosebudboyd@gmail.com or rose@operationteachingtools.org. Her phone number Benson, North Carolina is (910) 890-7577 or Dunn, North Carolina (910) 892-6598. I promise you that God will Bless you for supporting this ministry. You may also reach Rose by getting in touch with myself.

(I Chronicles 4: 9-10) “And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh that thous wouldest bless me indeed. and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me. And God granted him that which he requested.”

I have been reading the book “The Prayer of Jabez” Written By: Bruce Wilkinson. I recommend this book to everyone I see. The book is only 92 pages long, but it is a book that will change you way of praying. I will give you a little history then explain what Mr. Wilkinson says about Jabez.

I Chronicles 4 start out with the Descendants of Judah; then when it gets to Jabez, it stops and the two verses above are quoted. Jabez had to be a man after God’s on heart. This is the only place in the Bible that Jabez is mention. So this prayer that Jabez said touch heaven. Clearly quotes Mr. Wilkinson”, the outcome can be traced to Jabez prayer. Something about Jabez’s simple, direct request to God changed his life and left a permanent mark on the history books of Israel. At first glance, the four requests may strike you as sincere, sensible, even noble, but not terribly remarkable. Yet just under the surface of each lies a giant paradigm breaker that runs exactly opposite to the way you and I usually think.”

In this book the Pray of Jabez’s requests can release something miraculous in your life.
Please get this book and read it. It has changed my life and my prayer life. Do not think you are being selfish in praying this way. God as I have said is a good God and is just waiting to Bless his children.

Blessing, Love and Prayers,

Prayed Up

Today is Sunday, a beautiful day. Our family went to Church this morning. Anna went to Sunday School and Church, but the rest of us only made it to the Church service. We had a wonderful service. God touch the hearts of many today. God can touch and work miracles if we just let Him. I think sometimes we try to judge situations our selves and not let God lead us and tell us the true circumstances of things going on around us. I learn many years ago, not to judge because I sure do not want people judging me. One day I will have to stand before the great judge and that is enough for me. Well anyway not sure where that came from, but I know God has a reason for me saying it.

I have prayed today about the Devotion for Monday. The Lord has laid on my heart that I need to send out to you this prayer that I composed a few years ago. It has ready blessed me and my family. When I was learning about spiritual warfare and learning to pray as a spiritual warrior, God show me that I not only needed to pray but quote the word of God. So here is the prayer. I hope that it blesses you and your family as much as it has ours.

Remember when you pray this prayer, read it out loud, so satan and his little imps can hear you. God’s word defeats satan. Jesus used God’s word in the wilderness, when satan was temping him. Remember Jesus said, satan it is written.

Well you have a good week and God Bless you. Rev. Pat Aman

A Prayer for Spiritual Warfare

Composed by: Rev. Patricia Aman/1989

(Proverbs 4:20-22, 6:2, 18:4) The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. Every word spoken becomes a living thing, to minister or to destroy.

(Roman 12:1) Heavenly Father, according to Your Word, I present my body a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in Your sight.

(Isaiah 43:26) And Lord you tell me to put you in remembrance and for us to talk together daily that I may ask and be forgiven of my sins. So I ask you to remember the promises you have for me, as I keep Your commandments and ask forgiveness of my sins.

(2 Timothy 1:7) And I thank you that I do not have a spirit of fear, but a sound mind in Jesus name.

(Colossians 1:9-11) I desire to be filled with the knowledge of Your will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that I walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all patience and long-suffering.

(Nehemiah 8:10) with joyfulness; for the Lord is my strength.

I thank you for the wisdom, knowledge, understanding, common sense and comprehension that you give me in all that I do today.

(Ephesians 6:14-17) Father, I gird my loins about with truth, I put on the breastplate of righteousness, and I shod my feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, I take the shield of faith, wherewith I shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

(Isaiah 58:8) And the Glory of the Lord is my rear guard.

(Isaiah 61:3) Father, I put on the garment of praise, and thank You for the armor You have provided for me to dress in this day. I am completely covered now in the name of Jesus, according to Your word.

(Matthew 16:18) Upon Jesus I have built my entire life, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

(Psalms 23:1) You are my shepherd, I shall not want.

(Philippians 4:13 and 19) I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and You shall supply all my needs, according to Your riches in Glory.

(2 Corinthians 10:5) I cast down all imaginations, and bring into captivity every evil thought.

(I Peter 5:7) I cast all my care on You, for You care for me.

(Isaiah 53:5) I thank You and praise You for walking in divine health and prosperity, because by Your stripes I am healed.

(Psalms 103:5) My soul does prosper in you, and You heal all my diseases.

(Psalms 107:20) As you have sent your word and gave me good health.

(Deuteronomy 8:1) All the commandments, which You have commanded me, I will do, so I may live, multiply, and possess those blessings that You have promised me.

(St. John 15:7) For Lord, You tell me that if I abide in You and Your word abides in me, I may ask what I will and it shall be.

(Jeremiah 1:12) Now Father, I have prayed according to Your Word, and you say You would watch over Your word to perform it. Now I stand on this promise, so rise up in me big today, for I am Yours, in the name of Jesus.

Amen and Amen

Wagging Tongues

I have realized this week that gossip can really damage a person’s life. When people talk about situations without really knowing the facts, they can literally destroy a person.

(Proverbs 6: 16-19) says, ” These six things the Lord hates, Yes, but the seventh is an abomination to Him. A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, and a false witness who speaks lies and one who sows discord among brethren .”

When we read these verses we can see that there are six things the Lord hates. They are: when we act proud, lie, hurt the innocent, premeditate evil, run to take part in wrong actions, and one who spreads gossip. He then says of all these things that the seventh is an abomination to Him, and that is when one instigates problems between people.

In our hurches today that seems to be the most common problem. I believe that alot of times it is caused by jealousy. If we would read this scripture and really think about it, I am sure it would stop so much discord among church members and the world as a whole.

Do you understand that He is saying that to sow discord is an abomination. Webster defines abomination as intense aversion or loathing. He also describes loathing as a strong dislike mingled with disgust. Hey!!! Do you get this yet? God gets disgusted with us.

Even though He hates the first six, the seventh is the worst.

Yet, why are there so many churches who are losing members because they cannot keep their mouths shut?

We should be a shining light in our communities and lead the way for peace among brethren. So the next time you start to jabbering about someone else, you need to think about the life you may be destroying.

Father God, I praise your Holy Name. I thank you that you have forgiven me of my sins. And Father God help me not to judge other people by their actions, but to let them see your actions in me.
In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen and Amen

Timberrrrrr!

Ephesians 6:10-18,says:”Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty
power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against
the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark
world and against the spititual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to
stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around yur waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted
with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all
this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the
flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword
of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all
occasions with all kinds! of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints.

Everyone felt afraid of the Philistine giant, Goliath. He towered
over nine feet tall. He wore a bronze helmet, bronze leg plates, and a
bronze javeline was strapped to his back. In his huge hand, he carried a
spear. The point alone possibly weighedeabout twenty pounds. His shield
beared walked or ran before him.Goliath told David to come here and I will
give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. David
said to the Philistine, “You come against me with a sword, spear and javelin,
but I come in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of
Israil, whom you have defied.” I Samuel 17:44

Before this, young David had taken his staff in hand, stooped down,
and picked up five smooth stones and placed them in a pouch. With a
Shepherd’s staff in one hand and a sling in the other he approched the
giant. With one stone He flung the stone, it hit Goliath in the head and
killed him.

The key to this scripture is He came in the name of the Lord. What
are the giants in your life? How can God help you overcome them? I believe
it is good not only to pray, but to turn to His Word for the answers. There
are directions and power in prayer and God’s Word.

Whatever these giants are in our lives, we must not run from them. We
must face them head-on as David did with Goliath. Put on your spiritual
armor and stand firm, unfraid, trusting God for strenght. The exciting thing
about all this is when we put on the full armor of God and obey Him, then we
can stand back, call TIMBERRRR– and watch the giant fall!

God Is Good

Good Morning,

The Lord is Good. All the time the Lord is Good. I pray Blessings on you today.

Yesterday, in the devotion, I told you that God’s has His Angels to watch over and minister to us.
Read Psalms 91 and see another of God’s promises to us.

(Psalms 91:1-16) says: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in who I trust. Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge, His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes, and see the punishment of the wicked. If you made the Most High your dwelling, even the Lord, who is my refuge, then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways, they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra, you will trample the great lion and the serpent. Because He loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him. I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him, and show him my salvation.”

WOW, did you get that. If we dwell in the presence of God, He will rescue, protect, acknowledge us. And when we call upon Him, He will answer us and be with us in times of trouble. He will also deliver us and HONOR us and show us His salvation. Just read that again. This is just another one of God’s promises to us

.

There is a story in my devotion Bible about a lady who had stopped at a red light. Before she knew it a man with a gun got in her car. That morning she had just read Psalms 91. In desperation, all she could say was feathers, feathers, feathers. The hijacker panicked. He shouted, Lady you are crazy and he jumped out of the car.

How precious to know that when we can’t think of a promise word for word, or when we don’t have time to quote a promise for the situation in which we find ourselves, God knows His promises and He knows our heart.

As you all know, one of our daughters was suppose to get married. Her father and myself knew that she did not need to married the gentleman. We felt that something was just not right. We prayed and prayed that whatever it was about the gentleman that was not right would be made manifest. Well guess what God answered our prayers, and the young man’s problem came to surface. But the special thing about it, was less than 30 seconds after Joe and I read Psalms 91 out loud, and Joe then prayed Psalms 91 over our family, the phone rung and what was said to us over the phone lead her to make the right decision and canceled the wedding. See God promises to us for being faithful came true.

The Devil Is A Virus

Again, I will say, when you start to share God’s Word the devil gets upset. But guess what that is okay, because he is defeated and we are cover with the blood of Jesus.

The virus came from Sweden. My husband knows computers inside and out. He even built a computer. But when opened an attachment it was there. Not on my computer, but his.

I want you to pay attention. Satan will come in the back door to try to stop God’s work. The first devotion that I sent you in (Ephesians 6:12) say’s” We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers of the darkness of this world, against rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Satan is out to kill, steal and destroy. He will do anything to get into our lives. If we read our Bible daily, Pray, put the Armour of God, and cover ourselves and our household with the blood of Jesus, satan can not come near us.

When Jesus died on the cross. He went into the pits of Hell for 3 days and nights. He took all our sins and guilt and left them there and cover us with His blood. When we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and come into our heart, He covers us with the blood of Jesus. Then all the bad we ever did is gone to be remembered no more.

(St. John 3:16-17) says”For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not Him Son to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved.”

(Roman’s 10:9-10) says: “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved. For with your heart you believe unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

When Jesus went into the pits of hell from satan. the keys of hell is sickness, death, destruction, all that hell could have used against us. Then Jesus say “Here, I am going to give you, my people the keys to use. I died on the cross for you, now I am going to give you the power to defeat satan.

(St. John 14:12 – 14) says: “Verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father. And whatsoever ye shall as in my name that will I do. that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name I will do it.”

Now did you get that. He is telling us that we have power over satan. Satan cannot do anything, unless we let him. Satan cannot read our hearts, mind are thoughts. He only hears what we speak and say out loud. When you read the Bible and Pray do it out loud. Satan is defeated with the word of God.

The pray I sent to you, is a good pray, to say every day with you prayers. But if you do not pray God cannot answer your needs. God is a gentleman and will not over power your self will. God has His angels lined up every day ready to minister to our needs. We stop them with our negative words and actions.

(Proverbs 18:21) says: ” Death and Life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it.”
(Proverbs 12:18) says:”There is that speaketh like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise is health.”

Get it!!!! There is life and death in the tongue, what we speak shall be. Sometimes we just need to keep our big mouths shut. Do not speak sickness on you are your family are say negative things.

I do not say things, like Oh I hope I do not get that virus going around. I speak I will not have the virus, because I am covered with the blood of Jesus, and satan where the blood of Jesus is you can not cross the blood line.

Get what I am saying, satan only has the power you let him have. Oh boy, I could go on and on with this subject. Well I will talk about it more some other time.

Live a victorious life, not a sad down trodden life. We have the victory through the blood of Jesus.

The What If’s and Why’s

I feel that there is someone who needs to hear this devotion. It just maybe even be me. Ha Ha

(Ephesians 1:18) “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling……)”

I have learn through the years that you do not worry and think about the what-ifs, or the whys. I have also learn that you do not question your abilities.

I know that I have many times come to a fork are crossing in the road that God has given me to travel. There has been times that I have not known what road to take, but there has never been a time, that I doubted that I was not called to serve. God may be calling you to serve Him. Do you recognize His voice and know it is Him? If you are questioning the voice, just simply wait on Him and say, “Yes”. Don’t worry about the timing or the future. When the mighty wind blows, He will miraculously place them at your back. When the floods begin to rage. He may tell you to keep paddling in faith, believing, while He calms the seas.

God’s calling is sure. We don’t have to worry about making a way. If it is His will, He works all things out in His perfect way and timing. And let me tell you, if God is calling you to move from one place to another. He may be even calling you to change jobs. You better do it. By experience I know, that if you try to stay where you are, when you are suppose to be doing something else, you will be miserable and talk about trials and troubles, Honey you have not seen anything, until you go against what God wants for your life.

He calls us through, around, over, and under to serve. No foe can stop us, no poverty can starve us, no evil can diminish His call. For He has a glorious plan. So, just say “yes”

(Romans 10:14-15) “How, then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

“Here The Call”
Author: Unknown
There is a little poem I love. It is called “Hear the Call”
I hear Jesus call to me,
There’s work for you to do.
I see many hurting souls,
Come, show them life anew.
You must reap the harvest,
Of those who search for me.
I still hear Him calling,
From sin I will set them free.
God, why must I be the one?
Why are You calling me?
Because they need your help, My child.
Then here am I, send me.
