Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ The reason why he Apostle Paul, was so ready and willing to preach it, even where he ran the greatest risk of his character and life, was, because it was “the Gospel of Christ” he preached, and he was not ashamed of it.

How can we have a Holy Spirit Lead Revival in times like these, and no one is told about the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ, and no one is asked if they would like to ask Jesus to forgive them of their sins and receive the gift of Salvation?

We can preach the Bible, but, if no one is at the altar accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, then there can be no new life and restoration.

Churches today need to get back to the basics. God’s word is not a some theatrical production.

Salvation is God’s power at work in every area of a person’s life. In preaching the gospel of salvation we must prioritize the need for people to be born again. However, we must also preach that God want to heal, deliver, rescue them because this is what the Bible teaches.

Apostle Paul puts it this way, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8 “By grace, through faith!” “A gift!” That is really great news!

God does not want us to be hopeless or to fear. He assures us that Jesus has done everything necessary for our salvation. By the power of his Holy Spirit, he gives us faith in Christ’s victory over sin.

So, as a Ministry daily we can share the good news with those who so desperately need to hear it. May God bless us abundantly as we do these things!

Could We Have Been A Better Person ?
A Better Listener?

Planted deep in all of us, and sternly repressed most of the time, is the uncomfortable feeling that we should be better persons than we are.

We know that we’re not living up to our full potential, that in reality we’re not so kind, considerate, unselfish or compassionate as we’d like to be, or as God would like us to be.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if some great benevolent sponge could sweep across the blackboard of our lives, erasing all our errors and shortcomings? Wouldn’t it be grand to have a fresh start?

Why is it so easy to make resolutions and so hard to keep them?

Partly, I think, because old thought and behavior patterns are reinforced by one of the strongest forces in human nature– Habit. And partly, no doubt, because we bite off more than we can chew in an effort to fix everything at once.

But suppose we decided to break down our self-importance into twelve parts and work on only one part during the course of each month? I’m going to give it a try and I hope you’ll join me. I’ll choose a simple one to work on during
September.

It is learning to listen. How do I know I need to become a better listener?

First I was with a group of people and we were sharing thoughts for future plans. And I realize a person in the group had to stop our conversation and interject on every comment made. And I would politely try to lead the convent back to the important discussion and not listen constantly to their constant life sorry.

Then, I it made me stop and think, do I do that at times?

Through the years I have learned to listen and only speak when it was necessary. I do not have to have an opinion on every subject.

But, too many people do not listen, because they are to busy rehearsing in their head what they are going to say when the person stops talking, or takes a breath.

That is when self ego steps in and Father God has to step out.

There are people whom desire to monopolize the center of the stage and deliver all the lines. And these are the times things fall apart and words are misspoken.

This month, we all need to try to talk less and listen more. And not just
listen to other people but listen for hidden messages; the hunger for
appreciation, the need for reassurance, the unexpressed but still unmistakable (to the careful Listener) cry for help.

The good Lord gave us two ears, but only one tongue. He had His reasons.

All through the rest of September we need to try and remember this EGO/Not Listening problem.

Revelation 3:6 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith……”

We Are Leaning On The Everlasting Arms

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:1-2‬ ‭

Father God has shown my husband and I in the last four weeks, that we just have to continue leaning on Him.

When Father God has an assignment for you and He knows you have been tested, tried, true and faithful, He opens doors quickly.
It does not matter if you are 17 years old, are 70 years old.

This last four weeks has been a swirl wind of new and exciting things. But, it has also shown us that we must continue on the path of Leaning On The Everlasting Arms.

We may not directly know what the next few weeks will hold in store for us, but, we have our hearts and eyes set on our Father God.

We as Peter, have stepped out of the boat, and must keep our hearts, spirit and eyes on Jesus.

Matthew 14:29, “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

We have the blessings and favor of Father God directing us by the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Where will this journey end?

We are not sure, but with us leaning on the every lasting arms of Jesus, we have no fear, worry and doubts.

We will not rely on ourselves, the world, or others to direct our path, are we will find ourselves going down the wrong street every time.

But, by submitting and obeying Father God, we are following Him, and He is directing our steps. He always has and always will.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 Lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”

Father God is always ready to hear from us and He delights to help His children. If we seek Him out, He will direct our paths and help us go in the right direction. God tells us, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” Jeremiah 29:13

The grand old Hymn, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” is a hymn published in 1887 with music by Anthony J. Showalter and lyrics by Showalter and Elisha Hoffman. Showalter had received letters from two of his former pupils informing him their wives had died and were seeking consolation. When writing them back, he was inspired by the phrase in the Book of Deuteronomy 33:27 “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms”. He was so moved by this phrase that he turned the last words into a hymn for those seeking relief in times of grief. Although he needed help with the stanzas, so he went to see Elisha Hoffman author of over 2000 gospel hymns. Hoffman provided the stanzas while Showalter created the refrain and music to this hymn. From this noble intent, Showalter created one of the greatest hymns for times of solace as he encouraged “leaning on the everlasting arms” of God when seeking comfort.

Will You Pass are Fail?

“1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” -Hebrews 11:1

In Hebrews 11, we see the words confidence, hope, and assurance,

Monday a week ago I put all three of these words totally in God’s hands.

I have been losing weight lately. Not trying, but just staying busy and on the run.

Anyway, my engagement ring and wedding band have become loose on my finger. I actually woke up a few weeks ago and started to make the bed and my engagement ring was laying by my pillow.

But that Monday I got up and dressed and when I set down to put my shoes on, I saw my engagement ring was not on my hand. I went to the bedroom and removed every sheet, blanket, and spread, so sure that is where my ring would be located. But, I did not find it. I searched on the floor. Walked around every room I had been in, but no ring was to be found.

I went and set at my desk and started praying. All of a sudden I said, “God, yes the ring is important to me, but it is just a material thing. Joe and I have been married 41 years at that time and with a engagement ring, or without a ring we are still happily married.

If you want me to find the ring, I have the confidence, hope, and assurance, in You that I will find it. But, it you feel that I do not need the ring for some reason, Your will be done.”

Afterwards I decided I needed to run a few errands, so I put my shoes on, grabbed my purse and went and got in the car.

I had not even thought about the ring anymore. See, the ring was not important. It was just a material item.

I truly was surprised at how I was not even consumed, concerned or thought about it totally at all. I was at peace.

Anyway, I got in the car and as I was putting my seatbelt on I saw my engagement ring laying in the middle of the passengers seat.

I then remembered that Joe and I had gone out to eat the night before and maybe when I unfasten my seatbelt to get out of the car, it came off my finger.

The amazing thing is it was lying in the middle of the seat and did not fall between the seats as I unfasten my seatbelt.

I picked it up and thanked God that He allowed me to find it.

Then, as clear as anyone talking to me I heard a voice say, “Pat, my daughter, you showed me that your love for your husband and your love and faith in Me, was more important than a material item, like your engagement ring. My daughter it shows me that I am first in your life. And I am pleased.”

Friends, I just cried. Not over finding the ring, that was just an extra bonus. But, I had passed the test my teacher Father God had allowed me to take.

Remember, what consumes you, controls you. It can put you in chains of bondage.

So, I asked you today. What mark will you make on the test you maybe going through?

Will you pass or failed?

When you are going through something hard and wonder where God is…Remember the teacher is always always quite during the test.

Sometimes when you wonder why you can’t hear God’s voice during your trials, remember the teacher is always quiet during the test.

BUT, the teacher never leaves the room. The teacher is constantly walking around the room protecting their students.

What are your Giants?

I pray you will have a wonderful week. I already thank Father God my week will be wonderful. Last week started off a doozy. But, I am feeling 100% better and stronger even today.

I miss being able to fellowship together with my brothers and sisters in Christ. But, I know starting tomorrow, I will be back, running the race that is set before me.

Let’s take a moment to talk about giants that we may have in our lives. Sometimes we let things overwhelm us and not let God take care of them. Just as I kinda let things overwhelm even me last weekend. Making decisions, even positive ones can be a little much for us all as we get older in age.

I wonder if David even felt afraid for just a second of the Philistine giant, Goliath, in his life. Goliath who was three to four times the height of David. He was wearing at least 278 pounds of Armor besides his own big body which could have weighed 400-600 pounds, being well over 13 feet tall. He wore a bronze helmet, bronze leg plates, and a bronze javelined was strapped to his back. In his huge hand, he carried a spear. The point alone possibly weighed about twenty pounds. Goliath had a armor barrier who bare his shield that walked before him.

Goliath told David to come here and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with a sword, spear and javelin, but I come in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” I

1 Samuel 17:44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!

Before this, young David had taken his staff in hand, stooped down, and picked up five smooth stones and placed them in a pouch.
1 Samuel 17:40 Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine. With a Shepherd’s staff in one hand and a sling in the other he approached the giant. With one stone He flung the stone, it hit Goliath in the head and killed him.

The key to this scripture is He came in the name of the Lord.

What are the giants in your life?

How can God help you overcome them?

I believe it is good not only to pray, but to turn to His Word for the answers. There are directions and power in prayer and God’s Word.

Whatever these giants are in our lives, we must not run from them. We must face them head-on as David did with Goliath. Put on your spiritual armor and stand firm, unafraid, trusting God for strength.

The exciting thing about all this is when we put on the full armor of God and obey Him, then we can stand back, call TIMBERRRR– and watch the giant fall!

Yes, some of us need to learn how to face our giants. Some of us need to run towards our problems and stop running away from them. Some of us need to introduce our Goliaths to our Father God.

Please realize Father God stands ready to battle with you. Yes, the same Father God who enabled David to kill Goliath.

Today, talk to Father God about your Goliaths. Then confidently move towards those obstacles, knowing the Father God stands with you, and has gone before you to prepare the way.

Your Body Is The Temple If God

Parents, if your children walk out your door not dress appropriately, whose fault is it?

A girl bought an iPhone. When her father saw it, He asked her “What was the 1st thing you did when you bought it?

“I put an anti-scratch sticker on the screen and bought a cover for the iPhone” she replied.

“Did someone force you to do so?”

• “No”

“Don’t you think it’s an insult to the manufacturer?”

• “No dad! In fact they even recommend using a cover for the iPhone”

“Did you cover it because it was cheap & ugly?”

• “Actually, I covered it because I didn’t want it to get damage and decrease in value.”

“When you put the cover on, didn’t it reduce the iPhone beauty?”

• “I think it looks better and it is worth it for the protection it gives my iPhone.”

But, What Is Discernment?

The Webster Dictionary says, “dis·cern·ment, the ability to judge well: “an astonishing lack of discernment” (in Christian contexts) perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual guidance and understanding: “without providing for a time of healing and discernment, there will be no hope of living through this present moment without a shattering of our common life”

The legendary preacher, Charles Spurgeon once said, “Discernment is not simply a matter of telling the difference between what is right and wrong; rather it is the difference between right and almost right.”

The word used in Psalm 119:66 “Teach me good judgment and knowledge,for I believe in you commandments.”means “TASTE.”

It is the ability not only to make discriminating judgments, to distinguish between, and recognize people and life in different situations and courses of action. But, you can almost TASTE, the right from wrong.

It includes the ability to “weigh up” and recognize the moral and spiritual status of individuals, groups, and even movements.

How is such discernment to be obtained?

We receive it as did Christ Himself—by the anointing of the Spirit, through our understanding of God’s Word, by our experience of God‘s grace, and by the progressive unfolding to us of the true condition of our own hearts.

That is why we also should pray, “I am your servant; give me discernment”

Psalm 119: 125 – 130 “I am your servant, give me understanding,
that I may know your testimonies!
It is time for the LORD to act,
for your law has been broken.Therefore I love your commandments above gold, above fine gold. Therefore I consider all your precepts to be right; I hate every false way. Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.”

I have myself discerned immediately when I noticed that a persons talk, is not their walk.

And I have at times been so busy with the daily routines of life, that I missed it.
In other words, I should of immediately removed myself from certain situations and I ended up getting disappointed and even hurt. Those were the times I have had to asked Father God to forgive me for not listening to that still small voice, saying, “watch out.” Yes, Discernment.

I have also met people who say that they have the gift of discernment, but what they have is a judgmental spirit. They constantly are combing people with a fine tooth come. They find fault in everything and everyone who not following their leadership and ways. Discernment isn’t judgment. Judgment speaks of control and a need to be right. If you are judging something in yourself or in another, you cannot uncover what is true in a situation.

We must remember that the heart center is where you connect directly with your feelings, your discernment. It is more reliable than your “gut instinct” alone.

We must realize with the knowledge of what discernment is (and isn’t) and a true sense of how to use it in your life, you can go forth boldly and make decisions confidently. You can use your discernment to make choices for your family, your church, and in every part of your daily life.

Thank Goodness Father God Does Not Text Message

NBC news did a segment on Texting Is Not Communication.

They said, “Texting really is ruining personal relationships. Text messages can’t provide the human contact and perspective that come from true dialogue, but they can encourage laziness and passive-aggressive behavior. Our increasing preference for texting creates a higher quantity of interactions, but it decreases their quality. On the surface, these texts may seem like an acceptable way to handle daily communication, but they actually are all examples of ways to avoid conflict, from making lying easier to dodging in-person confrontation. Our increasing preference for texting over email and phone calls creates a higher quantity of interactions, but it decreases their quality, harming our relationships. Indeed, it’s a far cry from paying attention and listening to the thoughts and feelings of another person, and it’s missing the human contact and learning that comes from true dialogue.”

I, myself, personally feel the same way. I absolutely hate texting. I refuse to waste my time texting a conversation. If you have the time to spend 30 minutes texting me, then you would of had the time to call and tell me in 10 minutes the same conversation. And I do not Twitter, Snapchat, TicTok!!!!

The days of picking up a corded phone and dialing someone’s on phone number from memory are over, and it has been replaced by the cell phone text message.

I truly believe texting has interfered with true accountability and a way to hide feelings that need to be talked out in a conversation. Because we all know that good communication is the cornerstone of relationships.

Non-verbal communication, including voice inflection, facial expressions and body language, is a crucial part of everyday life. None of these things, however, come through via text, and this will affect how people communicate with

Despite appearances, I am not completely anti-texting. Like any technology, texting has its place, especially to say a quick hello, banter simply, or make plans. And yes, I love receiving pictures of family and friends. And I love FaceTiming with the grandchildren.

But for instance, I met a friend for lunch today and when I arrived at our location, I text them I was inside restaurant waiting for them. Yes, plain and simple. And they thumbs me up that they read the text.

But, while we were eating, we both talked ninety miles an hour. We both needed that one on one personal voice conversation. Even though we jumped from one topic to the next, we still came back and finished the subject.

Another example, my daughters both know they must pick up their phone and talk to me. They know I refuse to carry on a text conversation.

Now I know when they are at work, they cannot talk because of their jobs, but, after work we talk. Yes, we may do a group text, “please send your Christmas list. What is your ETA. And everyday I send them a text, “ I Love you, bunches, Love Mama. And they will text back their love to me, but, other than that, we talk, not text.

And gracious me, let me not answer the phone when they try to call me. They are immediately calling their daddy. He could be half way across the USA working, but they call daddy asking, “ where is mama?” And if he does not know, they, mostly our oldest, more than the younger “Dad, check the cameras, is Mama’s car in the garage?” And if my car is in the garage, why is mama not answering her phone?

Then he has too check the cameras in the yard. And usually he will say, “ your mom’s on the lawnmower and she has her headset on. She is probably listening to music and did not hear the phone. Are she is working in the yard.” Well at the point they are saying, “ Dad, please make sure when you get home or you talk to her that her headset is hooked up to her Bluetooth, so she will answer her phone.” Yes, they need to hear my voice. They need to know I am ok.

You know, Father God is the same way, He waits daily to hear our voice. He waits patiently for us to come sit and talk to Him. He has so much to share with us. He wants to share with us things to make our day go smoothly. But, we get to busy and miss the opportunity.

Yes, BUSY. “B.U. S. Y. “

Being Under Satan’s Yoke!

And then we fuss at Father God because our day was awful.

I imagine Father God thinking and saying, “ they are too busy texting and letting technology take their lives away, that they could not take a minute to talk to me today.

I am getting older and I am not wanting to carry on conversations by texting that I need their help, an etc.

I myself can see me at 90 years old trying to text, help me I have, well you know, whatever the conversation maybe concerning.

I feel if a person respects me enough to call me, you will have my respect and my full attention.

I wonder how Father God would handle texting?

Text: Father God, I am here, when will you be able to text me back?

The Bible tells us in, John 10:27, My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

This scripture from the book of John is an encouragement to us. It tells us that hearing the voice of God will be a distinguishing factor to those who consider themselves his sheep and under his care.

We must hear Father God’s voice, to understand the direction we must follow.

Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

And I love the Bible verse, ““And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”
Isaiah‬ ‭65:24‬ ‭

Yes. Even though we have Father God’s written Word to direct us, He still expects us to talk one on one with Him. He knows that as we speak our voice calling out to Him, it builds our Faith. And then in turn, we hear His voice in our hearts and spirit directing us, in our lives.

Yes, I would hate to know, that I would have to view my phone to see if I have a text read receipt showing me Father God has read my text message to Him, and I had to wait for His reply, via text message.

Today, take the time to get personal and talk not only to Father God, but to your family and friends.

“Complacency”

The Book of Zephaniah’is only 3
chapters long, and has 53 verses. If I
were to be asked how many of you have read the book, I would not be sure
who would raise their hands.

The reason is everyone loves to read about the promises of Father God; the good news, and Psalms, but very few people like to read about Father God dealing with sin in their lives.

Zephaniah is a book of forceful prophecy. The book deals with a “revival” that produces outward change, but does not fully remove
the inward heart of corruption.

Zephaniah, hammers home his message repeatedly, that the day of the Lord, judgment day is coming, when the
malignancy of sin will be dealt with. Israel and her neighbors will soon
experience the crushing hand of God’s wrath. The Book of Zephaniah
emphasizes the certainty of God’s judgment, because God hates sin.

The people of Judah lived wickedly for fifty years under King Manasseh and King Amon. Zephaniah urged, his people to repent of their wicked
lifestyle. The nation was filled with idolatry, selfishness, and immorality and God was preparing to judge them. They were lazy and they had no concern about the things of God. They disobeyed God, resistedcorrection, and relied on themselves.

Zephaniah 3: 3-5 3 Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; Her judges are evening wolves That leave not a bone till morning. 4 Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; Her priests have
polluted the sanctuary, They have done violence to the law. 5 The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame. But, in the mist of it all, God’s promise to
preserved a remnant, a small group of people who will continue to serve God faithfully. But it also tells that after the chastening process is complete, blessings will come in the person of the Messiah, who will be cause for praise and singing.

Zephaniah 2:7 7 The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;
They shall feed their flocks there; In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the LORD their God will intervene for them, And return their captives. We need to remember that God is a loving God, but He will not let you continual in a life of sin.

Complacency (an I don’t care attitude) is a deadly disease. If you do not care about God or believe that you can continue in sin without, consequences, you are headed for judgment. Many today do not seek God’s blessings or fear His wrath; such thinking is dangerous.

Zephaniah 1:12 12 “ And it shall come to pass at that time That I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And punish the men Who are settled in complacency, Who say in their heart, ‘ The LORD will not do good, Nor will He do evil.’ The sins that were found in Judah are the same ones that you must avoid, disobeying God, resisting correction, failing to trust in God, and not having any desire to learn about God.

Zephaniah 3:2 2 She has not obeyed His voice, She has not received correction; She has not trusted in the LORD, She has not drawn near to her
God. Even though God must judge sin, He is faithful to each individual who
turns to Him in faith.God is mighty and able to save, protect, and bless.

Zephaniah 3:17 17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His
love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

Father God is a loving God. He does not want to see us suffer, but if we continue to do wrong and sin, He is our Heavenly Father whom loves us enough to chastise us.

John 3:16-17 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.

I know that just as Joe’s parents and my parent’s corrected us , when we did wrong. And Joe and I also corrected our girls, it helped all of us to know right
from wrong. We knew to not do that anymore. In others words we learned
our lessons, and sometimes it was the hard way.

Today, this Friday morning, spend time with Father God, and ask Him to show you what changes you may need to make in your life. Some of them you already know, so do not wait until God has to let you fall to your knees, so He can lift you up.

I cannot understand why at times we are so stubborn and we have to hit bottom before we trust our Father God to know what is best for us.

Life would be so much easier if we just behave and understand our Heavenly Father does not like to chastise us. But, we need to thank and depend on Him enough to understand, He as our Father God will do what is necessary to save us from the torments of eternal life of damnatiion.
