Are You Spirituality Dead?

Letter to the Church of Sardis

Revelations 3:1 “To the angel of the church in Sardis write:

1 These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God.

3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.

5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blotout his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

What is our Lord saying to the church at Sardis, and through them, to us?

The diagnosis was spiritual death. But resuscitation was possible.

Is your Christian walk lively? Or have you become stuck in a rut? Are you going through the motions, or are you excited about going to church, reading God’s word, conversing with your Heavenly Father?

If church has become a habit, something needs to change in your spiritual walk.

Once upon a time, most of us were excited about our faith. But eventually, it usually becomes “old” to us. We fall into, yes, that routine mode.

How can we revive it?

Try something fresh. If you usually prefer traditional worship, give one contemporary service a try. You may not want to attend all the time, but it could quick start your faith excitement. It speaks to people in the vernacular – just as Jesus did.

Try a new version of the Bible. Oh boy, I hit a rock there. Remember, even the King James was translated by men, from the original transcripts, so do not let yourself fall into not reading the newer translations.

Read a new (to you) Christian author, or revisit an old one that inspired you.

Start a daily journal of your Bible study time and prayers.

Join a Men’s or Women’s weekly Bible Study. Even start on in your home.

Get yourself an accountability partner.

Get involved, be a disciple. The disciples God’s intent for us to be.

We aren’t complete spiritually, if we are not using the gifts He has abundantly blessed us with.

And pray, pray, pray. God wants you to have a lively faith walk. But be

careful what you ask for; you will get it! He may drop you out of your comfort zone.

Blessings, Love and Prayers,

Pastor Pat Aman

Forsaken, but not Forgotten

As a small child I remember watching Billy Graham on TV. But my favorite part of his Crusades was when Ethel Waters would sing, “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.” I have always loved this song, and I have always loved Miss Waters singing. Now she is singing with the Angels and I can just see her smiling and praising God, because she knew what it was like to be touched by God and have her life turned around. She knew of the bad, good and ugly.

But, as she sings this great anthem of praise, we can see, feel and knowthat she never looked away from her Father God. Even when things got rough, she knew that as God was watching the Sparrow, that He was keeping his eyes on His daughter, His child.

Forsaken, but not Forgotten

Psalm 37:23,24 “The steps of a man are established by the Lord; and He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; because the Lord is the One who holds his hand.”

First, let me say, “God will never forsake us, His children.”

But, do you ever feel that God has forsaken you at times? Do you feel like there are perpetual clouds above your head, that the Lord has hidden His face from you, or that He has turned His back on you? Can you say that the “God of all comfort,”(2 Corinthians 1:3“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,” seems like He lives in another time zone?

Well, so did many in the Bible. It has been the common experience and condition, that even the best saints have seemingly been deserted by God in the Bible. Let’s look at just two briefly.

“Behold, I go forward but He is not there, and backward, but I cannotperceive Him; when He acts on the left, I cannot behold Him. He turns on the right, I cannot see Him.” Job 23:8,9.

These are the words of Job, and while we all know the story of Job, have you ever considered the despair echoed in these words? Job is seeking the Lord in the midst of His struggles, and he cannot find Him. He is not seeking God haphazardly, or only putting forth a sham effort, but rather He has gone forward and backward, to the right and the left, and he cannot find God. He feels like God has deserted him.

“Now as for me, I said in my prosperity, I will never be moved. O Lord, by Thy favor Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong. Thou didst hide Thy face; I was dismayed.” Psalm 30:6,7.

This is an interesting passage from David, a man who God greatly loved and favored. Here David goes on about how great things have gone with Him. He had it good. He even knows that having it good is not due to anything he deserved, but he acknowledges God for His benefactor. It is God who made David strong, and David both knows it and thanks God for it. So what a surprise to read the next line, that God hid His face from him. But here we see that David knew both the favor of God and also felt, at times, that God had deserted him. “Thou hast put me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the depths.” Psalm 88:6.

In looking at these two examples, we see that even the best of Christians may feel that God has hidden his favor from them. However, both these examples also show that us that even if God has hidden his face for a while, his forsaking is always only partial, and is never total. God knows what we are able to endure. God may seemly forsake his people in His comforting presence, and it may feel like all around us is falling down, but God never forsakes His children in His supporting presence. “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Lastly, consider that God may forsake His people for their good. He may be preparing them for greater manifestations of His blessings and grace. Thiswas the case with Job. Job was greatly afflicted, but in the end, the Lord blessed him with more than he had before He allowed him to be afflicted.

Afflictions should also drive us to Christ. God may forsake us, that wemay not forsake Him. A true child of God will be driven to pray, hope and trust God all the more, when the roof of life seems to be caving in uponthem. If God hides His favor from us, we will naturally seek to cleave closer to Him when His favor returns. God may have hidden his face from David for a while, but David says, “O God, Thou art my God; I shall seek Thee earnestly; my soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1. David says that he seeks God earnestly and yearns for Him, even in a place of desolation.

Can we say that of ourselves? Would others say that of us?

The application from these two examples of Job and David is simple. If we feel deserted by God, or feel that we cannot find His favor – though we look forward and backward, right or left, we still must seek His face more. We still must rest in His mercy to a greater extent. We still must come before Him, humbly, and plead with Him for His restored favor. We have here two encouraging examples in Scripture (there are others also) where God was gracious to His servants, and let this be an encouragement to us, to follow their example.

Blessings, Love and Prayers,

Pastor Pat Aman

Also, please know that:

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with Joy.

What’s In Your Albaster Box?

I can hardly believe it is almost Easter Time. It seems we have just celebrated Christmas.

When I think of Easter, I think of Mary anointing Jesus feet. She once was a broken person, but, Jesus touched her. Because Jesus had touched her and gave her a new life,  the Holy Spirit spoke her to anoint Jesus, preparing Him for the steps He would soon take to walk the Road to Calvary.

I love the story of Jesus, Mary and the Alabaster Box.

I often tell people, “do not judge others by what you see, because you do not know what is in their Alabaster Box!”PAA

She broke a box of ointment and poured it on Jesus. This ointment was valued at 300 pence. A pence was the daily wage of the average worker. Therefore, in modern terms, it was worth about $15,000.00. This spikenard was produced from a rare plant that grew in India. It was very expensive and many people saved for years to be able to provide this for their own funeral preparations. However, this woman, poured it out on the Lord Jesus.

A lot of preachers teach on the subject of how expenses the oil/perfume cost. Others teach that it meant Mary was giving her best, her all.

But, I think of it this way. ‘What was really in Mary’s Alabaster Box?

I like to imagine that as she broke the vessel so that she might extractevery drop of ointment for use on the Lord Jesus, she was also showing Jesus every broken part of herself.

The vessel was her broken life, filled with the oil of all the hurts, sorrow, jealousy, hatred, disappointments and even happiness that she had experienced.

Yes, she had paid a great price in her life, the way she had lived, but, Jesus only saw the broken vessel as clay that He could mold into a beautiful vase. And he did not judge or smell the unpleasant odor of her sins, but the sweet smelling aroma of her love and her willingness to scarified everything to follow her Lord and Savior.

Whatever you may think about when reading this story, Mary gave all she had to Jesus for His glory! She totally opened herself up to Him. She did not try to hide one part of herself.

I wonder have we broken the Alabaster Box of our lives and poured out ourselves, every drop for Him? All the broken of our sinful lives.

God is seeking people who have surrendered everything they have, everything they are and everything they hope to be. He is looking for people who will assume the place of servants before Him. He is looking for those who will merely respond when He speaks to them. He is looking for those about whom He can say, “They have done what they could.”

I think of Apostle Paul also when I read this story. In 2 Timothy 4, hesays, “6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”

I feel that after Mary anointed Jesus, she also, felt the very same way that Paul did.

Are you now ready to break the Alabaster Box of your life? Please right now, open your Alabaster Box to Jesus. He is waiting to heal you

Rules From God

I pray that each of you will have a blessed week.

Our daughters and our SON-in-law, came in this weekend to celebrate their dad’s 65th Birthday. We had a great time. It was also our SON-in-laws 50th Birthday. We ended the weekend with them attending church with us, and then grabbing some lunch, before they headed back to their homes. We had a blessed weekend.

Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:10, 28‬ ‭
“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.
Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her:”

Exodus 20:12
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Proverbs 23:22 Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
‭‭
Start your week off by studying God’s Word. Ask the Holy Spirit to intercede and direct each step you take this week. And, if you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, pray now asking Jesus to forgive your day sins and come into your heart.

Here are a few rules that will help you on your journey.

Rules from God
Author: Unknown

  1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
“Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24
  2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart.” I Samuel 16:7
  3. Hush Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant
for us to do twice as much listening as talking. “He who guards his lips guards his soul.” Proverbs 13:3
  4. Stand Up!!…
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. “Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good…” Galatians 6:9-10
  5. Look Up !!…
To the Lord. “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
  6. Reach Up !!…
For something higher. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
  7. Lift Up !!…
Your Prayers. “Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT
    EVERYTHING.” Philippians 4:6

The High Priestly Prayer of Jesus

The High Priestly Prayer of Jesus
‪Author: Pat Aman‬

We are coming into the season of Easter. Please study these scriptures. We must realize what God sacrifice for us, so our sins could be forgiven. Yes, washed away by the blood of His precious Son, Jesus.

I am praying about sharing the ten day walk with you during Passover and Easter. I myself, enjoy taking part in this walk every year. It refreshes my soul and spirit.

Now, this about the beginning of this day in the life of Jesus and His disciples. The Passover meal lays on the table half eaten. The men who came to be with their Master have more answers and more questions now than they have ever had ever before. Emotions have ebbed from sorrow to glory to confusion. Jesus has spoken directly with them tonight. No parables or leading questions. Their faith has taken its first steps into a time when Jesus would no longer be with them physically. Everything the Lord can do to prepare His friends for the trials of the hours ahead has been done. The Son now turns His attention to the matter at hand.

John 17:1-3 These things Jesus spoke; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify Thee, 2 even as Thou gavest Him authority over all mankind, that to all whom Thou hast given Him, He may give eternal life. 3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. (NAS)

The hour has come indeed. This hour has been on the heart and mind of the Trinity since before the world was created from the power of the voice of the Son saying, “Let their be…”. God and Adam and Eve had an intimate fellowship with God before the fall. It was the desire of God to have fellowship with man.

Gen 3:8-9 And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

Did God not know what had happened? Of course He did. He knew that Adam and Eve would eat the apple. He knew it before He created the first thing.

Rev 13:8 And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. (NAS)

Note, “whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world”. This also means that the ones who’s names have been written there, were there from the foundation of the world. Before Adam, before there was light, before God said, “Let there be…”, the names of every person who
would accept God’s gift of salvation was scribed in The Book of Life.
Nothing we ever do surprises God. It may indeed grieve Him, but He knew we would grieve Him. Jesus speaks of authority given to Him by the Father. The Father relinquished His right to control in this area to the Son. The Trinity is such a difficult concept for our finite minds. One member of this Triune
Being willingly surrendered authority in an arena of control to another Member.

Luke 20:42-44 “For David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 43 Until I make Thine l enemies a footstool for Thy feet.”‘ 44 “David therefore calls Him ‘Lord,’ and how is He his son?” (NAS)

Acts 2:34-35 “For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he
himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 35 Until I
make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet.”‘ (NAS)

Jesus came to break the power of darkness and the enemy of our souls. His mission, which He requested of the Father here, was to submit the enemies of the Father to the Father. And now, the moment of the final battle for the souls of all men was at hand.

Eternal life has been sought after by adventurers and seekers down
through the ages. In the core of our being there is a chord that resonates with the power of this force of life. We have an inborn desire to protect that life and to struggle against things and circumstances that would harm
that life. Life is a spiritual force. It was given by God in the creation
and will pulse beyond the end of time. Physical life is the visible
manifestation of life. The physical ages, is damaged or otherwise falters and fails. But the power, the force that is that person continues. They are simply released from the shackles of this physical body and world.

John 5:28-29 “Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, 29 and shall come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
(NAS)

Rom 2:5-8 But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and
immortality, eternal life; 8 but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but
obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. (NAS)

Eternal life, according to Jesus, is to know God. In knowing God personally, His salvation is given to you. This is not a mental wisdom of
acknowledging the existence or even the power of God. It is to know Him as Savior and Lord. In this knowledge there is a gratefulness beyond measure for the gift of salvation and the chance to know Him. Through all eternity
Jesus will be revealing to us, facets of His infinite person. And, not
unlike the parable of the talents; to the ones who have, more will be
given. And to the ones who have not, even the small knowledge of God will be taken away from them. They will live on through eternity separated from God knowing they have not a chance of returning to fellowship with Him. That alone will be agony enough for all the ages to come.

Please, again, study God’s Word…
Make sure you know Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord.

Make sure you absolutely know without a doubt where you will spend eternity…

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentine’s Day

My prayer is God will touch you with a love you have never felt before.

“The most loving thing we can do for others is love God more than we love them. For if we love God more, we will love others with a true love. The love of God.“ Quote Author: Pat Aman

The Bible explains love in – 1 Corinthians 13: 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails.

God showed His greatest love towards us by giving His Son Jesus to die for our sins.- John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I love the song, “The Rose”
It was written by Los Angeles singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom. Bette Midler recorded it for the 1980 movie of the same name, which she starred in.

The songs tells us never to give up. Even in times we feel no love. But, to feel love, we must give love…

We must love ourselves before we can truly love others.

The Rose

Some say love, it is a river
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
and you it’s only seed.

It’s the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It’s the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It’s the one who won’t be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin’
that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been to long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,
just remember in the winter
far beneath the winter snows
lies the seed that with the sun’s love
in the spring becomes the rose.

Never give up on Love. Sometimes love may just rest for a season, but,
after the winter, comes the spring, and the Rose (LOVE) will bloom again.

Remember, Love Conquers All

Blessings, Love and Prayers,

Send Me

Author: Pat Aman

(Ephesians 1:18) “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling……)”

I have learn through the years that you do not worry and think about the what-ifs, or the whys.  I have also learn that you do not question your abilities.  I know that I have many times come to a fork,  or crossing in the road that God has given me to travel.   There has been times that I have not known which road to take, but there has never been a time, that I doubted that I was not called to serve.   God may be calling you to serve Him.  Do you recognize His voice and know it is Him?  If you are questioning the voice, just simply wait on Him and say, “Yes”.  Don’t worry about the timing or the future. When the mighty wind blows, He will miraculously place them at your back. When the floods begin to rage. He may tell you to keep paddling in faith, believing, while He calms the seas. God’s calling is sure.  We don’t have to worry about making a way. If it is His will, He works all things out in His perfect way and timing.  And let me tell you, if God is calling you to move from one place to another.

He may be even calling you to change jobs.  You better do it.  By experience I know, that if you try to stay where you are, when you are suppose to be doing something else, you will be miserable and talk about trials and troubles, Honey you have not seen anything, until you go against what God wants for your life.

He calls us through, around, over, and under to serve. No foe can stop us, no poverty can starve us, no evil can diminish His call. For He has a glorious plan.  So, just say “yes”!

(Romans 10:14-15) “How, then can they call on the one they have notbelieved in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

There is a little poem I love.  It is called

“Hear the Call”

Author: Unknown

I hear Jesus call to me,

There’s work for you to do.

I see many hurting souls,

Come, show them life anew.

You must reap the harvest,

Of those who search for me.

I still hear Him calling,

From sin I will set them free.

God, why must I be the one?

Why are You calling me?

Because they need your help, My child.

Then here am I, send me.

Touch The Hem Of His Garment

Touch The Hem Of His Garment

Author: Pat Aman

The woman pushed through to just touch the hem of his garment.  She knew that she would be healed.

I myself, knew that as I lay in bed nearly two years, that when at my lowest point, God awakened these scriptures just for me.

I was worn out, burdened down and broken. I felt like, why me, Father God?

I know that many of you have also felt this way. You could not understand why you were going through so much pain and heartache!

I want to share what I received from God the day He allowed me to really understand what this women was going through.  He gave me a clearer view and showed me her unwavering faith. He showed me how she set her eyes on her healer, and did not let absolutely anything stand in her way.

I learned persistent Faith.

This passage relates the account of a desperate woman  whose healing was the results of a great and persistent faith. Her illness made her ceremonially unclean and disqualified her from mixing with crowds of people, yet she was certain that “if only I may touch His clothes. I shall be made well”,

(Mark 5:28), says, “For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well”. Jesus did not rebuke her, but delayed His mission to the home of Jairus, whose daughter was dying, in order to assure her healing.

Jesus later raised Jairus’s daughter from the dead, but here He took time to minister to one with positive, persistent faith.  That persistence is rewarded is not to suggest healing or any other work of God is earned by human effort. It rather illustrated the need to be bold in what we believe, to not be deterred by circumstance or discouraged by others.

“All things are possible to him or her who believes. (Mark 9:23), and they all are by God’s grace (Ephesians 2: 8-9),  says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is a gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast”.

See,  she did not let anyone stop her. Even though she was not supposed  to be in public because she was unclean.

I went to the hospital to have a simple hernia repair in 2003, and I  contacted  surgical MRSA which means I should not be alive. MRSA is a highly contagious and deadly infectious disease. I was as she, unclean.

MRSA  destroys the body.

After over a year of fighting MRSA, I went back and had surgery to clean my insides out and remove the MRSA and what it had destroyed, I contacted surgical e-coli from this second surgery. I fought this infection for over a year. So, of over two years of fighting these infections I finally reached up, Father God reached down and healed me.

Yes, I grabbed the hem of His garment and refused to let go.

Was it easy? NO! I felt depression, loneliness and desperation!

I praise God that I finally allowed these scriptures hit me square in the face, and I realized then, that I needed to press through, touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, not let anything block my vision of a Jesus in the crowd.

Maybe today you need to press through the crowd and touch the hem of the Master’s garment.

You have fought the disease of sickness even the disease of sin and it has beat you down. You are drowning in despair. You have no where to go but up.

I want to tell you that Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him. He wants you to reach for the hem of His garment.

Do not let the crowd stop you. Do not let the voices of the crowd cloud your vision.

Set you hope on what is eternal and be healed. God has given us incredible promises. If you are running low on hope, go to the Bible to recharge!

We must remember that – “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18

Please know that our Hope causes us not to get discouraged, not to give up, because we have something to keep going for.

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

Please now, stop, and let Jesus and let Jesus speak these words to you.

“And He said to her, “Daughter/Son, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.””Mark 5:34

“Laugh and Confuse The Devil”

“Laugh and Confuse The Devil” Author: Pat Aman

As Children of God, we need to laugh often. When we learn to laugh in our times of troubles, it defeats Satan.

(Proverbs 17:22) “A Merry Heart Does Good, Like Medicine, But A Broken Spirit Dries The Bones.”

First of all, think about it. The devil himself is sending out everythingin his power, demons and all, to try to defeat the children of God. And the sad thing about it is we are letting him. We need to learn to laugh in his face. See, when we are laughing, even in the time of trouble, it will confuse him. He will sit back, scratch his head, and will be thinking to himself, “Now I have sent out every demonic power I have to attack them, and they are laughing.”

See, Satan is not all knowing. He cannot read our minds. He only knows what we speak. And when we speak negative things in our life, he knows he is winning the battle over us. A lot of times we are speaking negative things into existence in our own lives. We need to stop giving the devil ideas, he has enough on his own. We need to learn that sometimes it is just better to keep our mouths shut, that is unless we are going to laugh, give thanks, or praise God.

(Proverbs 18:21) “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

I can hear you now, “Pastor Pat, you just do not know!”

Well I can tell you that maybe I do. I am 65 years old, and my life hasnot been a bed of roses. I could write a book on losses, hardships, disappointments, discouragement, sickness, and a few other things. But what good would it do to tell the devil everything he already knows? So I am just going to praise God, and thank Him for restoration. I am going to tell everyone about the joy, mercy, and grace of my Lord and Savior. As Christians we have given Satan too much lead way in our lives. We have given him too much credit. It is time we, as Christians, stop chasing Satan and demons and start chasing God, and He will take care of Satan and the demons. Again, stop giving Satan so much credit, and exert our power over him, In Jesus’ name.

(Matthew 16:18-19. And I also say to you, that you are Peter, on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Remember, the rock is not Peter as an individual, since Jesus substituted a foundation rock. Jesus meant that He Himself is the Rock upon which the church is built, and the church is built out of those stones that have made their confession of faith in Him. That is us, His children, the Body of the Church, believers in Jesus Christ. In other words, when we as Christians stand up and take our authority over the Gates of Hell, which is the power of death, then hell and everything in it cannot advance intothe kingdom, nor claim victory over those who belong to God. Just as Peter was a representative of the church throughout the ages, Jesus is passing on to His church His authority or control to bind and to loose . And binding and loosing have to do with forbidding or permitting. In other words, Jesus is stating that the church will be empowered to continue in the privileged responsibility of leavening the earth with His kingdom power and provision.

Just remember this, that as Children of God, you should have enough power to walk into a room where Satan and his demons are trying to enter or control, and they ask you where they need to go as they are running out of the room.

See, they cannot stay in the Presence of God. And if God is your Lord and Savior, then the Presence of God is in you. So I will say again, stop giving the powers of hell so much credit. For they have none, but what you give to them.

Your Passion And Purpose In Life

Your Passion And Purpose In Life

A passion for life comes from fulfilling your purpose in life. Because God is your Creator, seek Him to find your purpose and passion in life. Because most of us do not seek God nor His purpose for our lives, we become bored, tired, dishearten, depressed, self-destructive, double-minded, and aimless when going about our daily activities.

We can only have a life-long passion for life by seeking God’s purpose in our lives and making ourselves available for that purpose.

2 Timothy 2:21″If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use.”

If we are not fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives, a life-long passion for life is impossible. If we choose not to make ourselves available for God’s use, we end up wallowing in sin, dishonor, purposelessness, self-destruction, and eventually eternal death separated from God forever.

We must remember that as God looks at us the body of Christ, he look at us as one. Why, because we are one body, born of one spirit. When God sees us, he sees many members parts of the body, but he see one body. He sees the body of Christ. He sees the body of anointing. We must understand itis not about God seeing all your individual needs. In fact if you read your Bible and Study, you will see you have no individual destiny outside of cooperate destiny. If you do not understand where you play in the big roll, you will not understand your individual roll. Because individual destiny is inside of cooperate destiny.

We all must work together as a church to win the world to Christ. As you work in the cooperate anointing, you will soon realize and see that God has been directing you to your purpose in life. You destiny, through the gifts that he has given you.

Do not ever think you are not important to God. He made you and placed you here on this earth to do his work. You are very special to him.

Just seek God, and he will grow your gifts, purpose and destiny. He will show you the direction he wants you to go.
