Jesus Was Four Days Late, But Right On Time.

There are times in all of our lives that we reach a point that all we can do is just stand. We feel that we are facing stones so big in our lives that they cannot be moved. During these times I have learned that God is standing with me. He is preparing me for a new journey, or a new Ministry.

Mary and Martha had stood. They sent a message for Jesus to come now because their brother Lazarus was sick.

Jesus received the message but He tarried, for He was about His Father’s business. Jesus also knew the out come.

See, God knows the out come to our circumstances when we turn them over to Him and believe by and in Faith.

When Jesus was coming to the home of of His dear friends, Martha met Him and said, ” if you had come my brother would not have died.”

Jesus told Martha, I Am the resurrection and the life.

Of course Martha still questioned Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

She said yes, Lord.

Then Lazarus sister Mary and others coming up and weeping.
Mary said, to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

As Jesus saw them weeping, He begin to weep, but not because Lazarus had died, but, because of their unbelief.

Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.” Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.””

Do you UNDERSTAND, that Jesus could do nothing until Mary and Martha gave Him permission to remove the stone away.

We may have a stone or stones in our lives, but Jesus cannot break the bondage we are in, until we give Him permission to remove the stone.

So, today, let your faith arise up in you. Give Jesus permission to remove and loose the stones of bondage in your lives and see a miracle take place within you.

If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.” These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.” Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with Him.” So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.” Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled. And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”

Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!” And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?” Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Do You Mean I Have To Pray And Then Wait?

We humans spend a lot of our lives waiting. Some of us are waiting for test results, while others are waiting for dreams to come true. Yes, their are times we have to wait and there are times that God answers our prayers and petitions immediately. Just remember, God always just on time.

The Bible has a lot to say about waiting, so let’s look at some stories about waiting, and see what we can learn from them.

Abraham was promised that He would father many nations.

(Hebrews 6:13-15) For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU. 15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.

God never breaks promises, so it was just a matter of “when.”

But God’s timing is not always ours. (Isaiah 55:8)

Abraham didn’t see the promise fulfilled when one would expect it, when he and Sara were of “childbearing years.”

But with our God everything is possible, and after waiting many years, Abraham’s wife gave birth to Isaac. Note that Abraham waited patiently. We are to not become impatient with God. He will fulfill His promises in His time. Joseph was another “waiter.” His jealous brothers left him for dead in a pit. It was years before they were reunited. Meanwhile, Joseph remained sensitive to God’s plans for him, and did his best with what he had.

(Genesis 39:1-2) Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the bodyguard, bought him from the Ishmaelites, who had taken him down there. 2 The LORD was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.

He waited actively. When we are in a period of waiting, we must do what we know is God’s will. Perhaps we aren’t sure of all of His will, but we need to be doing what we ARE sure of; He will take care of the rest. We must give our best, and He will honor that.

The widow banging on the judge’s door was yet another “waiter,” albeit not so patiently.

(Luke 18:5) yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.

She was persistent. Jesus taught this parable to teach us about persevering in prayer. When we wait, we should never stop praying about the situation in which we are waiting. She also had hope, or she would have given up. We must never give up hope, though we must be prepared for God to change our hopes to align with His will.

(Romans8:25) But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

An excellent passage on waiting in trials, is found in Romans 5.

(Romans 5:3-5) And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Again we see that we are to wait with growing perseverance and hope. Sometimes we tend to think of in-between times as wasted time. But if we follow God’s guidelines, our waiting can be fruitful times of growth.

Fruit of the Vine

As we read the 15 Chapter of John, do you really understand what it is saying. You are fruit bearers. We are connected to the vine which is Jesus. There are times when we must be pruned by God in order to grow and bear better and sweeter fruit. We are connected the life giving blood of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. We must today live a fruitful life for Him. I am ready, how about you?

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.

Jesus is the Vine, we are the branches. Did you realize that the Branches bear the fruit, not the vine? We are branches grafted to the vine; we have been attached to it. In order for a grafted branch to bear fruit it must be of the same basic nature as the vine. It must have the same texture and must be at nearly the same level of growth as the vine; if not then the branch will not receive the nourishment from the vine, and will wither and die.

The fruit Jesus wants is the fruit of Love. This is the nature of the vine, and it is to be our nature; we are to love one another AS Jesus loved us. We cannot manage this on our own, but, bless God, we aren’t on our own. The Word and Spirit of God are ours, the very Love of God is ours. That Love, born in God’s heart, is shed abroad in our own hearts by the Holy Spirit. It comes to us from the Vine, Messiah Jesus, the Head of the Body.

Romans 5:5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

We are to rest from our own Earthly labors and begin to go about the Business of our Head, the business of the Vine. We are to bear fruit for the Vine. We will bear fruit when we allow God’s Word and Spirit to conform us to the image of Jesus, for then we will be fully-grafted, and the Love of God will flow through us to bear the Fruit.

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

And, as was said above:

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.”

Jesus was a branch, and the Father was the Vine. Remember that he said, I do nothing of myself, but that which the Father does, I do. Jesus bore fruit for the Father, and now we must bear fruit for Jesus. The process requires little of us; we must simply choose the Word, the Spirit, and the Love. The Vine produces the nourishment which keeps us healthy, and that same nourishment produces the fruit through us.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

There is no greater Joy than that of doing the work we were created for. We can only find complete fulfillment in doing the works of our Father. That is because it is innate to our very nature. We were created so as to only be truly complete In Him. Only when we are yielded to Him, and the Love of God is flowing through us producing fruit, can we be totally satisfied.

Don’t Forget To Dance!

“GUIDANCE”

Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:3

When I meditated on the word GUIDANCE, I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God’s will is a lot like dancing. I do not even know how to dance so this was soul stirring to me.

But I do remember that when Joe and I owned our own business, we use to go to a lot of conventions. There was a older couple, in their 70’s who went to the conventions every year also. They did Ball Room dancing. I remember loving to watch them dance. It was like a glove on a hand. It fit perfectly. They flowed like two doves soaring in the sky. Each one seem to know what the other wanted. The woman seem to float as her partner lead the way. It was beautiful.

This makes me think again about the word

“Gui-dance.”

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn’t flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It’s as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word GUIDANCE.

When I saw “G,” I thought of God, followed by “u” and “i.” “God, ‘u” and “i” dance.” ! !

God, you, and I dance

This statement is what guidance means to me.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

See, I (we) do not let God lead our lives we will never be in a close relationship with God. It is like having a head knowledge of Him and not a heart knowledge of Him.

I do not know about you, but I want to continue to dance with God, and letting Him lead me. I want to dance with God.

My prayer for you today is that God’s blessings and mercies be upon you and your family on this day and everyday. May you abide in Him as He abides in you.

John 15:7 says, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you may ask what you will and it will be.”

Dance together with God, trusting Him to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

God, I ask you to bless my friends, relatives and e-mail friends reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of your love and power of the Holy! Spirit. ! I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. My prayer is they learn to dance with you.

149:1-5 New mercies continually demand new songs of praise, upon earth and in heaven. And the children of Zion have not only to bless the God who made them, but to rejoice in him, as having created them in Christ Jesus unto good works, and formed them saints as well as men. The Lord takes pleasure in his people; they should rejoice in Him. When the Lord has made sinners feel their wants and unworthiness, he will adorn them with the graces of his Spirit, and cause them to bear his image, and rejoice in his happiness for ever. Let his saints employ their waking hours upon their beds in songs of praise. Let them rejoice, even upon the bed of death, assured that they are going to eternal rest and glory.

Sunday Pentecost!
I can personally say that Joe and I both got a fire of the Holy Ghost renewed in us today.

We both realized that we had let the bumps, circumstances and people of this year make us forgot the positive promises of God’s Word that we once continually stood upon.

We heard and received a powerful message from a powerful God anointed man of God today, and friend.

The message help us remember that what and who we let in our lives can make a difference how we think and live.

So, today we released all negative talk and actions of things happening around us.

We are becoming a renewed couple of whom we use to be.

We are healed Spiritually, financially, physically, mentally and socially, and we are highly blessed and favored by God.

We are a blessed son and daughter of our almighty Father God, and NO force or demon of hell can try to destroy the blessings we have or the joy of our salvation.

As of today, we will share the good news of Jesus Christ and the promises of God to everyone and anyone we meet and are around.

See, you cannot preach what you do not believe or hold in your heart.

So, the renewed Elder Joe and Pastor/Evangelist Pat is back. Preaching the Word of God like we use too. But now preaching it with more fire and love.

And satan you and your demons of hell, BACK OFF! You cannot steal, lie or spread lies, cheat, or try to intimidate us any more. You have been caught. And the Word of God says,
“When the thief is found out, he must restore seven times [what he stole]; he must give the whole substance of his house [if necessary – to meet his fine].—Proverbs 6:31”

And because we have dressed in our new Armor of God and have been covered and anointed by the blood of Jesus, you cannot touch us.

For where the blood of Jesus is you cannot cross the blood line.

And God has told us that our enemies will be our foot stool.

“I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ’”
Luke 20:43

So, Joe and I are ready to take back everything that has been stolen from us.

In Jesus Name, Amen and Amen and do be it.

Pentecost

The Christian holiday Pentecost is celebrated fifty days after Easter Day, counting inclusively, seven weeks after Easter Day. It falls on the tenth day after Ascension Thursday.

On Sunday, Christians will celebrate Pentecost, and while many people only know so much of it as the commemoration of the Holy Spirit’s coming to Jesus’ followers in the early days, there are actually some very interesting facts about the said holy day.
In the King James Bible, the story of Pentecost is accounted in the Book of Acts Chapter 1. In verses 1-4, it reads: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

According to Patheos, Pentecost came from the Greek word “pentekostos,” meaning “fifty.” While Pentecost was originally a harvest festival and was turned into a day that remembers Moses’ reception of the 10 Commandments on Mt. Sinai, it later became a special day known by many today as one that commemorates the Holy Spirit’s coming upon Jesus’ first followers.

One promise is in the Old Testament – Joel 2:28, which says “I will pour out my Spirit on all people”, and one in the New, where Jesus says he will send another Counsellor, the Spirit of truth (John 16: 5-15).

Pentecostals are so called because of the emphasis they place on the gifts of the Spirit, particularly speaking in tongues. They stress the possibility of a direct personal experience of God, like the first disciples, which – just as it was then – is often manifested in dramatic ways. Modern Pentecostals trace their origins to the Azusa Street Revival in 1906 Los Angeles.

Luke tells of three distinct experiences. A violent wind filled the house: breath or wind is a symbol of the Spirit of God. Ezekiel 37 tells the story of the prophet’s vision of a valley of dry bones which come together: when the ‘breath’ of God enters them, they come to life and stand on their feet. The Pentecost wind represents the power of God to bring life to the ‘dry bones’ of faith.

We as Christians should seek God allowing the Holy Spirit to renew and build up in us a burning fire to share the Gospel to the world.

Pentecost must begin with a renewal in each of us personally.

We need a true Revival. A Holy Ghost fire Revival.

But, it must start on our knees at the altar and besides our own beds, or in our prayer room.

We cannot expect someone to bring Revival to us. Revival must begin in our own hearts.

2 Timothy 3:3 says, “Understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, etc.”

2 Peter 3:3 says, “Scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own passions and saying, ‘Where is the promise of his coming?'”

Jesus said in Luke 21:9-11, “When you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified; for this must first take place, but the end will not be at once . . . Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom will rise against kingdom; there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.”

So there is no doubt that the end of the end the last of the last days will be bleak in many ways morally bleak, socially bleak, with great upheavals in nature itself. And that time I feel is near.

I see if happening now. Just look at the news and the world around us.

On the day of Pentecost the people were seeking something. The disciples were in the upper room. Jesus had told them that God his Father would be sending a comforter to them. They did not have Jesus walking along beside them in person anymore. They needed something, they needed direction.

And then, it happen. The Holy Spirit came into the room and filled each of them.

WHY?

Because they were seeking for the comforter.

So, today let’s seek the comforter. Let each of us seek the direction of the Holy Spirit.

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?

Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.” But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.’”
