The Spiritual Gifts for Believers<\/h2>\n

I am reviewing and studying the Gifts of the Spirit for the thousandth time, so I thought I would share my study with you. AND, several have asked me about Cali stories. As a writer it has to hit you to write. I started another Adventures With Cali, but, right now to busy to work on it. I promise I will get back to it.\u00a0 God bless each of you<\/h2>\n

I truly believe the church is in the last days. This world is worst than Sodom and Gomorrah. I have said many times, that if God does not come soon, He will need to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.<\/h2>\n

The Word of God tells us that in the last days there will be an outbreak of Revival in the world, but, there will also be a faster an stronger work of satan because he knows his time is short.<\/h2>\n

As a people of God, we must be ready and willing to grow the church. We must be about our Father’s Business.<\/h2>\n

Yes, there will be more manifestation of the Spirit in the church which are the disciples of God. Get ready! Our work has just begun.<\/h2>\n

1 Corinthians 12:7, “But, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” The Holy Spirit is namifested through a variety of spiritual gifts given to believers. These manifestations of the Spirit are intended for the upbuilding\u00a0 and sanctification of the church. They are not the same as the gifts and ministries mentioned in Romans 12:6-8, whereby a believer receives the power and ability to minister in a more permanent manner in the church.<\/h2>\n

Romans 12:6-8 “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”<\/h2>\n

The manifestations of the Spirit are given according to the will of the Spirit when need arises and according to the earnest desire of the believer.<\/h2>\n

Some gifts may be manifested through an individual on a regular basis, and a believer may have more than\u00a0 one gift to minister to particular needs. The believer ought to desire\u00a0“gifts,” not just one gift.<\/h2>\n

1 Corinthians 12: 12 – 31<\/span><\/h2>\n

Concerning Spiritual Gifts<\/span><\/h2>\n

12\u00a0<\/span>Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.<\/span> 2\u00a0<\/sup>You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.<\/span> 3\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, \u201cJesus be cursed,\u201d and no one can say, \u201cJesus is Lord,\u201d except by the Holy Spirit.<\/span><\/h2>\n

4\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.<\/span> 5\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.<\/span> 6\u00a0<\/sup>There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.<\/span><\/h2>\n

7\u00a0<\/sup>Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.<\/span> 8\u00a0<\/sup>To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,<\/span> 9\u00a0<\/sup>to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,<\/span> 10\u00a0<\/sup>to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.<\/span> 11\u00a0<\/sup>All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Unity and Diversity in the Body<\/span><\/h2>\n

12\u00a0<\/sup>Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.<\/span> 13\u00a0<\/sup>For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body\u2014whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free\u2014and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.<\/span> 14\u00a0<\/sup>Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.<\/span><\/h2>\n

15\u00a0<\/sup>Now if the foot should say, \u201cBecause I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,\u201d it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.<\/span> 16\u00a0<\/sup>And if the ear should say, \u201cBecause I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,\u201d it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.<\/span> 17\u00a0<\/sup>If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?<\/span> 18\u00a0<\/sup>But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.<\/span> 19\u00a0<\/sup>If they were all one part, where would the body be?<\/span> 20\u00a0<\/sup>As it is, there are many parts, but one body.<\/span><\/h2>\n

21\u00a0<\/sup>The eye cannot say to the hand, \u201cI don\u2019t need you!\u201d And the head cannot say to the feet, \u201cI don\u2019t need you!\u201d<\/span> 22\u00a0<\/sup>On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,<\/span> 23\u00a0<\/sup>and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,<\/span> 24\u00a0<\/sup>while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it,<\/span> 25\u00a0<\/sup>so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.<\/span> 26\u00a0<\/sup>If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.<\/span><\/h2>\n

27\u00a0<\/sup>Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.<\/span> 28\u00a0<\/sup>And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.<\/span> 29\u00a0<\/sup>Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?<\/span> 30\u00a0<\/sup>Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?<\/span> 31\u00a0<\/sup>Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.<\/span><\/h2>\n

It is unscriptural and unwise to assume that because someone exercises a spectacular gifts, that person in more spiritual then one who has less spectacular gifts. Furthermore, possessing a gift does not mean that God approves of all a person does or teaches. Spiritual gifts must not be confused with the fruit of the spirit that relates more directly to Christian character and sanctification.<\/h2>\n

The Spirit’s manifestation through gifts may be counterfeited by Satan or false workers disgustising themselves\u00a0 as servants of Christ. The believer must not believe every spiritual manifestation, but ought to “try the spirits whether thay are of God; because many false propherts are gone out into the world.<\/h2>\n
