No, at times it has truly been hard. We have had our ups and downs. But Praise God, we had enough sense to know that we must depend on God.

Being married 44 years, you get to really know each other. I can tell what Joe is thinking, before he says anything, and he knows the same about me.

We have had to depend on God, when we did not know what we needed to do, even to the point of where we would live.

We have raised two Christian daughters. They love the Lord, but they also know what it is like to have a good marriage. They know that it is being able to stay together through the good and the bad.

My parents were married 62 years when Daddy went to be with the Lord. They raised six children. We asked Mama (after Daddy died), why we never heard them argue? She said they had their moments, but they took them to the bedroom and never went to bed mad at each other. She said they never said things to hurt each other. They just were able to talk it out. She also said that there were times they did not agree, but they respected one another‘s opinion. They never used the words, “I told you so.” They just cared for one another enough to know what true love is all about. WOW! Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine,” Jesus said to her, “Woman what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants knew) the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
