Your Bucket List

What is on your bucket list?
What is something that you may need to conquer, face or maybe just complete in your life?

I just got back from spending time helping my sister who 84.

One of the things I think I realized was she is not 50 years old anymore. I saw a person who is saved and ready to go to Heaven, and still continually shares the Gospel of Jesus to the world, and prays for everyone she sees, but deep inside has a concern that she is slowly losing her independence.

Yes, she is no longer able to do the things she use to do. And I will tell you that she has always been the person to help others. She would do without so others would not be without.

As a matter of fact if people would stop and think about it, they would line up at her door just to say thank you.

But, I do know as I heard her pray every night, “Lord, as long as I can be a service to you, let me stay and do your work, but, Lord, I am ready to come home when you call me.”

You know, just as she is, we can also be confident that the good work He began in her, you and me, He will complete in each of us.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (Philippians 1:6)

We must believe that we were created by God for a special assignment for him. We are not here by mistake, and we are not a mistake.

Remember, God’s Word.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

So, let’s set our eyes on the brass ring as they say, and grab it.

Because, Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)

Will I ride the bull. I will let you know later.

Love, Blessings and Prayers,
Pastor Pat.
