(Now, be honest, I do not want to have to pray for you. I know I am not the only one who has ever done that.)\u00a0 But, when I\u00a0 did let my Bible fall open to a page and started reading, it was not what I wanted to hear, so I tried it again. You know 2 out of 3 wins.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span lang=\"en-us\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>God has let me know real fast that He or His Word is not like shooting craps.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Sometimes I want to know more.\u00a0 I want to be able to make the right decisions for my life.\u00a0 I don\u2019t want to go outside of the will of God and find myself flailing about in the midst of consequences I actually bring upon myself.\u00a0 I want more than anything to stay within the pathway He sets before me.\u00a0 And while I want one thing, I have to accept the fact that what I want may not be the best choice for me or for others.\u00a0 Ultimately, I want God\u2019s best.\u00a0 I take seriously the larger decisions in my life.\u00a0 I think everything I do works together with God\u2019s plan to build up His kingdom and grow me spiritually.\u00a0 I have various folks in my life who\u00a0influence my thinking; sometimes they just add to my confusion.<span lang=\"en-us\"> Do I have an Amen to that last statement.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span lang=\"en-us\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>We sometimes allow things and people into our lives that God had not planned for us. When this happens, God does not change the landscape of our lives and put those things and people in His arrangement. He will try to straighten out the mess we have made when we let Him.\u00a0 Key, when we let Him.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>\u201cFor this world\u2019s wisdom is foolishness with God, for it is written, He lays hold of the wise in their own craftiness.\u00a0 And again, The Lord knows the thoughts and reasonings of the wise and recognizes how futile they are.\u201d\u00a0 1 Corinthians 3:19-20.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>We try to reason everything out and the more we reason, the more we seek another\u2019s counsel, the less we know and the more muddled our thoughts become.\u00a0 That is when I retreat.\u00a0 I actually stop talking to people about my\u00a0quandary, my crossroad.\u00a0 I sit quietly before the Lord and ask Him for His wisdom.\u00a0 I rest until I have a clear answer.\u00a0 That can be daunting.\u00a0 Sometimes the answer seems totally out of sync with anything I\u2019ve been advised.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know about you, but most times God leads me to act, not on logic, but on faith.\u00a0\u00a0The leap may be frightening.\u00a0\u00a0I tend\u00a0to argue with God in these times, just like Moses saying he couldn\u2019t speak before Pharaoh.\u00a0 So God gives him Aaron to go along and help him.\u00a0 Sometimes I think all the things God used to make Pharaoh let Israel go, was to show Moses the power of God\u2019s might.\u00a0 I relate well to old Moses.\u00a0 But that is because I take my eyes off God and put them on myself.\u00a0 Moses was more concerned with his inadequacy than God\u2019s adequacy.\u00a0\u00a0Logic sees as far as one can see before the jump; faith sees God at the end of the jump.\u00a0 From that vantage point,\u00a0we\u00a0catapult with courage, knowing He provides a safe landing.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Devotion Written<span lang=\"en-us\"> or Posted<\/span> By: Pastor Pat Aman\u00a0 Book &#8220;Coffee With Pat Daily Devotionals&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div align=\"left\">\n<div align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Study Notes: The New King James Bible<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Unless otherwise stated, all content\u00a0in this mail\u00a0is \u00a9\u00a01996 through 20<span lang=\"en-us\">15 <\/span>by Coffee With Pat, and the Respected \u00a0Authors<span lang=\"en-us\">, and may not be copies or reprinted without permission of the author.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Life Is Not A Crap Shoot Author: Pat Aman When seeking God&#8217;s will for your life have you ever gotten your Bible down and told God, now God, I am going to open my Bible to your scripture and the first scripture I read, I know will be what I am supposed to do.
