This is amazing and it really helps us to see what we lack in the sense of trying to live a life fully honoring the Lord!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does the Bible say about the importance of prayer?<br>\u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.\u201d (Philippians 4:6-7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why is prayer so powerful?<br>God, our loving Heavenly Father, wants us to communicate with Him through prayer. He always listens to us when we pray. Daily prayer can bless you, your family, and those you pray for. It can also invite more peace into your life, help you learn more about God&#8217;s plan for you, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;How Can I Say The Lords Prayer&#8221;<br>Author: Pat Aman<br>March 9, 2016\/rev.2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can I say the Lord\u2019s Prayer?<br>Author: Unknown<br>I cannot say \u201cOur \u201c,<br>if I live in a water-tight spiritual compartment; if I think a special place in Heaven is reserved for my denomination, race or creed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Father \u201c, if I do not demonstrate the relationship in my daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d which art in Heaven \u201c, if I am so occupied with the earth that I am laying up no treasure there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Hallowed be Thy Name \u201c, if I, who am called by His name, am not holy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Thy Kingdom come \u201c, if I am not doing all in my power to hasten its coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201cThy will be done \u201c, if I am questioning, resentful of or disobedient to His will for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d on earth as it is in Heaven \u201c, if I am not prepared to devote my life here to His service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Give us this day our daily bread \u201c, if I\u2019m living on past experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us\u201d, if I harbour a grudge against anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Lead us not into temptation \u201c, if I deliberately place myself, or remain in a position where I am likely to be tempted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Deliver us from evil \u201c, if I am not prepared to fight in the spiritual realm with the weapon of prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Thine is the Kingdom \u201c, if I do not accord the King the disciplined obedience of a loyal subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Thine is the power \u201c, if I fear what men may do; or what my neighbour may think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Thine is the glory \u201c, if I am seeking glory for myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d Forever and forever \u201c, if my horizon is bounded by the things of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cannot say \u201d In Jesus Name. Amen \u201c, if I do not also add, \u201d Cost what it may, \u201d for to say this prayer will cost EVERYTHING.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This poem is inspired by \u201cThe Lord\u2019s Prayer\u201d found in Matthew 6:9-13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew 6: 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11 Give us this day our daily bread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed prayer is not only an act of speaking, but it also means that we pray to ourloving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
